This book has been written by Rebecca Gable who is the author of several other bestselling books – read her author page here on Amazon. Rebecca Gable was a teacher of Anglo Sazxon language and was involved in the translation of English and American novels by many authors including Neil Gainman and Kevin Baker. Rebecca is responsible for 8 historical novels which have made international bestseller, what’s more she has been awarded the Sir Walter Scott Prize back in 2006.

Catan has sold close to 25 million copies last year alone making it an incredibly successful game.

The book is set in the year of 850 around the seas of northern Europe in a small coastal village of Elasund falls. The village is subject to the marauding of neighbours and food stocks stolen, live stock killed and women & children taken. Villagers are left to survive the harsh winter, but it’s not good, they are forced to leave the land they have only ever known.

The tale sees the Foster brothers Osmun and Candamir lead their own people on an epic quest to find a mythic island home. Whilst lost at sea a massive storm forces them ashore onto a lost island: they’ve find Catan.

The new Settlers of Catan try to form a new society but the same struggles emerge to test relationships and bonds amongst the whole community. But how will the story end? ….
