Strategy Board Games
Strategy board games are probably one of the most common types of board game and as far as Board Games Critic goes this is the most common type of game you will see on our site simply because there are far more of them than any other.
The whole point of a strategy board game is for the player to plan their moves ahead of time and establish their position in the game through prior thought and planning. Unlike other board games, strategy games are not usually a game of chance but require skill.
There are two main types of strategy board game, the family strategy game and the war/adventure stategy game. Such war/adventure board games include those like the Settlers of Catan board game or the Axis and Allies board game. Family strategy board games include ones like the Monopoly board game or the Clue board game.
